I started my career studying for 2 years at Plumpton College, from this I received a National Diploma in Amenity Horticulture, and from there I ventured into floristry and trained at a busy well established shop in Eastbourne. Whilst working I studied at Chichester college and received my NVQ2 in Floristry.

I have been in floristry now for 22 years and still have the same drive and passion, I enjoy all aspects of being a florist but my main interest is designing Wedding flowers. In my career I have also had the opportunity to teach in a floristry school based in Worthing, this is where I learned that I love to teach and guide others in floristry whether for a career or just a hobby.

I have worked at many florists around East Sussex and learnt varied approaches to floristry which has widen my personal approach to my work. I have now been part of the Ann's flowers team for  5 years and have recenlty taken over the business.

I am enjoying developing and growning the business with the addition of a coffee bar, Beans & Buds, and a growing gift ware section in the shop from independant artists. I have a new young and enthusiastic team who are helping with the new excting ventures ahead at Anns Flowers of Eastbourne

I am the newest member of the team at Ann's Flowers and have been with them since August 2021. I have had a varied employment history including Benefit Fraud Investigation Supervisor, Craft Shop owner and Teaching Assistant!

My floristry experience started at a small, local florists where I learnt basic skills and techniques and it was there that I realised I had a passion and flair for the job. Due to the Covid pandemic in April 2020 I lost my position but never my desire to create; Not one to sit still for long, I decided to start a small baking business from home and I founded JuBear Bakes. When the opportunity arose to collaborate with Danielle, at Ann's Flowers, I grabbed the chance and together we created Buds and Bakes.

I am now enjoying being back where I belong, among the flowers, learning more and more every day. There is no better feeling than loving where you work and leaving, after a shift, with a massive smile upon your face. I am very excited to work with such a talented, friendly team and hope that this is the beginning of a long and happy journey together.
